Punjab-based businessman Gurdip Dev Bath bought a new Rolex watch for Rs 1 crore and gave it to contractor Rajinder Singh Roopra for his excellent work on the businessman’s Zirakpur house, NDTV said. Bath appreciated Roopra’s concerns to quality, timely delivery and, attention to details saying that the expensive gift was appropriate given the size of the property.
The gifted Rolex is an 18-carat yellow gold Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller with champagne color dial and gold-linked oyster bracelet. This watch depicts the successful completion of a two year mammoth project wherein Roopra, a native of Shahkot, Punjab, overseeing 200 workers involved in constructing this vast 9 acre estate.
As NDTV reported, the estate’s interior has been designed by architect Ranjodh Singh, and it resembles Rajasthan forts in its high walls, big halls, and lovely gardens. Even though it lacks great appearance, this house is a pragmatic fortress that combines stylistic features with security considerations and requirements of actual living.
When asked about the difficulties in the project Roopra acknowledged that it was a fulfilling experience to bring the project up to meet with Bath vision and the expected time constrain. He thanked his workforce for the accomplishment as he highlighted that all the work done towards realization of the dream was a group effort.
Bath was also very thankful of Roopra’s passion for the project with the contractor having gone out of his way to also meet his expectations. The plan underlying the construction of the estate is Bath’s vision, fine tuned and delivered by Roopra and his contractors.
