This Diwali witnesses Bollywood’s biggest box office battle like Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Sure to mesmerize the audience. Singham Again is the latest film in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe starring Ajay Devgn. Taking over 60% of the screens, this action packed film features celebrities such as Ajay Devgn accompanied by Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, deepika Padukone, tiger shroff and Arjun Kapoor. It had a good start collecting ₹43.50 crore on its opening day which was the highest ever for Devgn.
On the other hand Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, helmed by Anees Bazmee was able to collect ₹35.5 crore on the first day only. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and featuring Kartik Aaryan as Rooh Baba, the horror-comedy has audiences of the 2007 film in mind as Vidya Balan reprises her role as Manjulika. This release is Aaryan biggest opening so far Due to the great combination of comedy and action even the fans have appreciated the film.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh pointed that the response for both the films are good. “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is a horror-comedy film to watch, Singham Again has high drama. It’s good for the industry that both films are being well-received,” he said to ANI. He even said that if both perform well, there is likelihood that they could organize a joint party to celebrate success.
Ashish Kanakia, the CEO of MovieMax Cinema says that it will continue in that position as expected of Singham Again. “The promotional releases for festivals usually capture massive viewership. These films target the dedicated cores of fans and provide niche entertainment, he said, adding that he would like these releases to help the industry make up for prior losses.
However, Singham Again goes on generating the cop series of Shetty while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 explores the recently boarded horror-comedy genre. The Diwali blockbuster fights have finally begun with Devgn’s Mass action thriller style against Aaryan’s extra motion comedy horror and scare show.
