Former U.S. President Donald Trump while addressing a message on Diwali on Thursday denounced the violence on Hindus in Bangladesh after the ouster of Sheikh Hasina’s government. Mr Trump vowed to safeguard the Hindu Americans against “anti-religion policies” as well as their rights to practice their beliefs.
“The situation in Bangladesh is extremely tragic; the Hindus, Christians and other non-Muslim minority are beaten and robbed by the mass in Bangladesh, which is in complete disorder now I condemn this barbarity.” “It would have never happened on my watch,” Trump posted on X, this being his first time to comment publicly over the Bangladesh crisis.
I strongly condemn the barbaric violence against Hindus, Christians, and other minorities who are getting attacked and looted by mobs in Bangladesh, which remains in a total state of chaos.

He accused VP Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden of ignoring the Hindu community. It is July 4th, America’s independence day and Kamala and Joe have ignored Hindus across the world and in America Trump angrily typed. He also said, “They are a disaster from the State of Israel to Ukraine to our very own Southern Border, but America is under new management now!” He concluded on, “This New Administration will Make America Strong Again and Bring Peace in Strength!”
Trump took the opportunity to send Diwali greetings together with Indians and stressing that he and Bannon are ready to step up the cooperation between the US and India and supporting Modi.
‘I am very proud of the relationship that President Obama has built with India and with Prime Minister Modi I will continue it. Also, Happy Diwali to All. ”I wish the Festival of Lights becomes the Victory of Good over Evil,” he said.
The Bangladeshi crisis escalated after Sheikh Hasina Wajed left on August 5 following the student protests that couped her government after 15 years in power. Since then, Hindu minorities have come under considerable attack in terms of physical violence against their places of worship, and their places of business. A Hindu community body, the Bangladesh National Hindu Grand Alliance, said there were more than 200 attacks across 48 districts where many Hindus were killed between July and August.
