New Delhi, Oct 12: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Central Election Committee on Sunday finalized and approved its candidates for the upcoming 2025 biennial Rajya Sabha elections from Jammu and Kashmir, which are scheduled to be held under three separate notifications.
According to an official release from the party’s Central Office, the committee has endorsed the following names for the Rajya Sabha seats from the Union Territory. As per the corrigendum notice, Dr. Ali Mohammad Mir has been nominated under the first notification, Shri Rakesh Mahajan under the second, and Shri Sat Pal Sharma under the third notification.
The BJP expressed confidence that the nominated candidates will ably represent the interests of Jammu and Kashmir in the Rajya Sabha while further strengthening the party’s organizational base and political vision in the Union Territory. (KNC)
