On Thursday, Mumbai Indians (MI) unveiled plans to retain five major players including Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya for the next IPL starting in 2025. Hardik Pandya will be the captain of the side. To this end, the franchise highlighted the importance of these players in their team by commending them for their efficiency saying they have dolore ‘improved performance and diarrhea’ that have benefited MI for several years.
IPL franchise players such as Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma have played significant roles to win the title in many seasons and make MI as a champion team in the IPL. Tilak Varma, a promising youngster, completes the nucleus of this team and adds talent depth to this center.
Rohit Sharma had joined MI in 2011, Jasprit Bumrah joined them in 2013, Suryakumar Yadav played with MI for nine seasons, Hardik Pandya played with MI in eight IPL campaigns and Tilak Varma joined MI in the year 2022. Through some of these players, it exemplifies a franchise business model of loyalty and rational recruiting process for assembling a team.
A prominent member of MI’s management, Akash Ambani said: ‘The legacy of Mumbai Indians will be continued with Jasprit, Surya, Hardik, Rohit and Tilak who are integral to MI.” He was keen on showing that MI is keen on increasing trust with the core group, fans and stakeholders.
In the last couple of weeks the main technical and tactical staff of MI as well as key performers have been aligning themselves with the approach to the season. MI team owner Akash Ambani asserted that they will maintain and further build the passionate brand that fans have been appreciating, assuring IPL 2025 will see ANI Performance, energy and dedication commitment from them.
