Nine children died and several were injured when a wall collapsed at Hardaul Baba temple in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, during a religious ceremony. Rescue efforts were led by police with local help, using an earthmover to clear rubble. The injured children, aged 10-15, are hospitalized. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed sorrow and announced Rs 4 lakh assistance for each affected family. This incident follows another wall collapse in Rewa, where four children, aged 5-7, died. The house owners were arrested. Heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh have caused 200 deaths and extensive property damage this year, with 206 houses completely destroyed and 2,403 partially damaged.
