Formeer President Donald Trump narrowly escaped an assasination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, during a rally there. A 20-year-old sniper, later identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, fired several shots from a nearby rooftop. Although several eyewitnesses attempted to notify both the police and Secret Service, their warning was not acted upon. Trump was hit by a bullet and the bullet just sort of brushed his ear – Elon Musk slammed the Secret Service for not stopping what he called a massive fraud, demanding resignations As the chaos unfolded, members in attendance reported hearing gunshots and Donald Trump being tackled by Secret Service. Crooks was shot dead at the scene, with investigators probing who and for what reasons he may have been trying to kill. Trump took to twitter, expressing shock at the attack – which underscores the how dangerous things are becoming.
