The BJP has today forced a debate on the issue of the cancellation of Bungalow No 6, Flag Staff Road, which was earlier occupied by AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal. Atishi assaulting Tilak Nagar residents BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya tweeted claiming that Atishi was avoiding accepting the residence provided for her by the Delhi BJP and accused her of not wanting to ‘hurt Kejriwal’.
Malviya revealed a letter of withdrawal on January 6 to provide reasons for the cancellation. The letter pointed that Atishi did not take possession within period and mentioned two options of accommodation – 8 Raj Niwas Lane A No II and 115 Ansari Road.
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi Marlena is LYING. She was allotted SheeshMahal on 11-Oct-2024.
She hasn’t still occupied it because she doesn’t want to offend Arvind Kejriwal. Hence, the allotment was withdrawn and two more bungalows have been offered to her, instead.

Atishi had accused that the central government abrogated the residence allotment one day before the Election Commission released the schedule for the Delhi Assembly elections. She said that was the second cancellation she has witnessed within three months. To this, Malviya categorically denied pointing on the fact that Atishi never lived in the said residence. He said that Atishi still continues to live in 17 AB Mathura Road and has been provided two other houses.
Malviya also cited two reasons for the cancellation: non-physical seizing within the time frame currently specified by SEBI, and criminal probes by the CBI/ED into the Sheesh Mahal’s restoration. As per a CAG report which was purportedly leaked, that the amount which was initially approved for the renovation work in 2020 was Rs 7.61 crore, but by April 2022, the expenses had risen to Rs 33.66 crore; that means the expenses had become 342% more.
This probe confirmed that there was irregularity, namely that Atishi was interfering with the agencies by not having possession. Malviya encouraged her to select another home and compy with the investigation proceedings.
This comes at a time when opposition parties have continued to fet the house claiming that the AAP government is not financially savvy. Both Atishi on her part and Malviya in his response show the brewing political game as the Delhi assemblies approaches.
