Atishi will be the party’s candidate from Kalkaji constituency while Kejriwal has been nominated for the New Delhi constituency. Kejriwal is up for Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit in the most expected big ticket contests in the upcoming polls.

As such this announcement ends selection of candidates for AAP, which is all set to continue dominate Delhi. The party has however persisted in its tact of presenting strong leaders in strongholds that they already enjoy a strong following.
The survivors in the Delhi election race would comprise AAP, BJP and the Congress with the election likely to be a triangular one. Whereas AAP wants its second term on its governance model along with its pet schemes like free electricity, better education and health care, the Congress and BJP are fighting to regain their space in the national capital.
Pitted against Congress’s Sandeep Dikshit, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is likely to transform Kalkaji and New Delhi into major battle grounds of the election. Everyone will be keenly watching the response in terms of voter turn out and whether AAP’s style of functioning will once again find favor with the voters.
