Commenting on the Rohini blast in Delhi, interim chief minister Atishi held the BJP disparate on law and order situation in the capital while putting the blame on the Union Home Ministry that controls the Delhi Police. The AAP and the Centre have always been engaged in power tussle regarding the issue of police force.
The blast, which occurred at 7:47 am in Prashant Vihar, broke a wall of CRPF school, broke car wind screens and shop banners. Thankfully there was nobody hurt in the accident. Currently, the Special Cell of the Delhi Police, the NIA, CRPF and the NSG are all conducting the operation.
Atishi throwing darts and slinging mud took to the social media to accuse BJP of ignoring law and order problem in Delhi and only concentrating on destabilizing AAP government. She said crime rate has increased in the state, particularly in Delhi comparing the current situation with the Mumbai Underworld period. She said if the BJP gets a handle on Delhi’s government the sectors including health care, power and water will go the same way.
AAP is in a third term election campaign, scheduled for February, Arvind Kejriwal, resigned after his arrest in a liquor policy case. At the same time Atishi can act as an interim Chief Minister.
Delhi Police have registered a case under the Explosives Act and have started investigating the blast. The next team and police sniffer dogs were used to search for substances in the scene, and a substance that resembled white powder pointing towards a crude bomb. Cameras were working for the time of the incident, and more people could be involved since the accident is being investigated.
