Adani Green Energy Launches Subsidiary AGE68L for Renewable Growth

Adani Green Energy forms AGE68L to boost solar, wind, and renewable power generation, targeting sustainable energy leadership in India.

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has on 28th December 2024 formed a wholly owned subsidiary Adani Green Energy Sixty Eight Limited (AGE68L). AGE68L will register with the Registrar of Companies in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and undertake renewable energy initiatives viz., power generation, development and distribution through wind, solar and other renewable energy sources.
AGEL’s One Subsidiary (name withheld) has been accorded authorised and paid up capital of ₹ 1,00 000 and has not started operations , the company said in its filing. Adani Renewable Energy Holding Nine Limited (herein referred to as “AGE68L”) is wholly owned subsidiary of AGEL.

AGEL is a leading renewable power business in India, focused on the development, ownership and operation of utility scale solar, wind and hybrid power plants. AGEL is operationalising over 250 MW of wind capacity over the past six months and is ready to ramp up further capacity in the second half of the financial year.

The company is now building a 30 GW renewable energy project at Khavda Gujarat. This project will be spread out over 538 sq km, and will set a global benchmark for large scale renewable energy plant development.

AGEL operates a 11.2 GW of operating portfolio across 12 Indian states in the name of the country’s largest renewable energy operator. It seeks to raise its capacity to 50 GW by 2030, with renewables a major part of its leadership in the energy sector.

AGE68L is this new subsidiary underlined AGEL’s commitment towards renewable energy and sustainable growth. This is an example of the company’s ongoing efforts to attain focus on clean energy initiatives and its commitment towards India’s renewable energy goals. Being an investor in the large scale projects, forward of their thinking AGEL is doing its bit to bring in the change of sustainable development of energy all across the globe.
