Keeping that commitment, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has launched real time train tracking feature as well as live parking status feature in the RRTS Connect app for commuters on Namo Bharat trains. It was announced Tuesday.

Namo Bharat trains are tracked live on the commute with precise updates on train arrival with current location and status. Moreover, users can also see information relating to the next station and distance traveled, and how long it takes before you reach that station.

Additionally, live parking status feature’s added that gives real informations about the parking space at RRTS stations. Commuters can then park their vehicles knowing just where to leave the car, and knowing if they’ll need the car again that day.

On the Delhi Meerut corridor, parking facilities with over 8,000 vehicle capacity are being developed at RRTS stations to match growing commuter demand.

The existing features with the app include ticket booking, station navigation and last mile connectivity solutions. Feeder bus schedules are also accessible via the Rapido app as well as booking either bikes, autos or cabs for a trouble free travel.

App user convenience is further enhanced through direct communication from the phone or WhatsApp with station control rooms for the real time assistance. Additionally, there’s a lost and found feature to help find lost stuff too.

“NCRTC has been working to implement these advancements in line with the vision of a seamless, modern, commuter friendly transit system for India,” they added. Live updates and last mile connectivity integrated mean the travelers can be more efficient and convenient.
