The sequel to Allu Arjun’s blockbuster Pushpa: It’s even making waves before it hits theaters this Friday, December 5. Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa: The Rule has scored ₹100 crore pre sales on its opening day, setting a new benchmark in Indian cinema.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala has said that Pushpa 2 can open with an earning of ₹250–₹275 crore globally on the first day. The film should bring in over ₹100 crore in the Telugu speaking states thanks to higher ticket rates and premier shows. Given these number have already surpassed Baahubali 2 and KGF 2 on the advance booking records, it has become a cultural phenomenon.
The franchise has become so popular, industry experts expect the first weekend’s revenue to reach ₹500 crore.
