The action-drama Deva starring Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde experiences diminishing box office success because of poor audience numbers. According to Sacnilk reports the film directed by Rosshan Andrrews earned ₹2.35 crore on February 4 which brought its total collection to ₹24.25 crore.
The audience reception of Deva has not reached the levels that were initially anticipated by its producers. The initial Tuesday performance for the film showed only an 8.12% occupancy rate in all Hindi territories. The motion picture receives its support from Zee Studios, Roy Kapur Films and Malvika Khatri while actors Pavail Gulati, Pravesh Rana, Kubbra Sait, Girish Kulkarni and Manish Wadhwa play essential roles in its cast.
Minimal Growth in Box Office Collections
Bollywood trade expert Taran Adarsh previously pointed out that the film performed poorly at the box office. Through an X (formerly Twitter) post he shared the figures which noted

The second day’s earnings of Deva reported only incremental progress while the essential boost to overcome an initial poor launch failed to materialize [Preview]. A better performance would have shown a 2-day cumulative total equal to the opening-day score. The picture needs to regain all the lost earnings before Sunday arrives.
The film Deva gathered earnings of ₹5.78 crore during its first day but the amount grew to ₹6.61 crore on Saturday which resulted in a grand total of ₹12.39 crore for the weekend according to performance reports. The collected numbers during the weekend failed to reach what analysts predicted.
Shahid Kapoor Praises Pooja Hegde
Shahid Kapoor expressed strong praise for Pooja Hegde throughout the film promotion period. He gave credit to her industry dedication while boasting about her ability to perform dance moves.
“She has worked hard to be where she is. And I put that very high. Everybody is not able to make it on their own. So I appreciate that about her. Also, the way she dances, she has her way of doing it. It is very charming, and I enjoy that,” said Shahid Kapoor.

The film introduces Shahid Kapoor as ACP Dev Ambre who fights through deception to solve a prominent criminal investigation. The makers of Deva adapted the film from the critically celebrated 2013 Malayalam production Mumbai Police.
