A recent heartrending accident in the Pauri district of Uttarakhand saw a bus fall a massive 100 meter ditch at Dahalchori killing six persons and injuring 22 others. The bus was on the Pauri to Dahalchori route but lost direction which caused the tragic crash.

The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) sped to the scene to rescue passengers after a rescue operation was conducted to free them from the debris. Speaking to reporters, Director of SDRF Arpan Yaduvanshi said that 22 passengers were on the bus at the time of the accident. This situation best proved that through early intervention by the rescue teams, the number of fatalities could be reduced, especially through the efforts of those responding to emergencies.
