Four people died in a tragic accident when their car went off the road and fell into the river in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. Local police said the regrettable incident happened in the Paddar region.
As it was reported by the officials, the car began to move in the reverse gear and got into the river after turning over the cliff. The driver and one other person are still missing to date, as search operations carry on. The sex of the victims and the kind of car they were using has not been established at the time of this report..
Offering condolence, sitting MP Udhampur and Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh expressed shock over the deaths. This they have always failed to do earning a raw deal in the process; sad to hear only now that four of the passengers who were in the vehicle at the time the accident occurred were killed on the bonnet. Two other persons besides the driver, are still at large, were not found yet. I wish to extend my deepest condolence to those families that have been affected,” he posted on X (formerly Twitter).
The minister first of all called Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan, to make timely actions. “It means that rescue teams have been set in place. ”Indeed I am regularly receiving updates,” Surjeet Singh said in a bid to comfort those who are still stranded.
This sad occurrence has brought sorrow all over the area and this has also shown the usual problems of dealing with tough ranges in the territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Authorities at various centers are still observing the situation and have encouraged motorists to exercise keen attention on part especially hilly areas which are frequently associated with accidents.
