Currently, the most sought after Tamil actor Vijay, who is the president of the Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) party in Tamil Nadu is all set to flag off his own party today through a grand public meet in Vikaravandi. Political experts regard this as a move to replace J Jayalalithaa or M Karunanidhi, the veteran leaders who died recently.
The actor disclosed the floatation of TVK in February and it got company’s official recognition of registration from the Election Commission in September. Vijay also said that the party can produce TVK as another strong political party of Tamil Nadu.
Today as per the program there will be cultural programmes, leaders’ speeches and Vijay’s presidential speech. It is reported that he is going to define the party’s fundamentals, although information about the event was not announced until Saturday night.
Vijay recently sent a message to the party members telling them to remember the three values which are duty, dignity and discipline before they can embrace political loyalty which is not on the service of words but actions. “Our political language is the language of action,” he said, encouraging his supporters to be the language of action for TVK.
He urged cadres to exercise political consciousness in their work and personal life, adding that since thousands of people were expected to attend the event, pregnant women, children, the elderly and those with sickly conditions should not come near the venue. He also urged party members to abide by traffic laws and be examples to the public throughout the event.
Vijay also indicated that he would reveal leaders who will epitomize the identifier of this first state conference of the TVK.
